Forty and Fabulous!
Yes, I just turned forty years old on February 7, 2009. Not only am I NOT ashamed of my age, I am very proud of it! I know I look great, and that I am in the best shape of my life–physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It is my heart’s desire to be a positive role model and to show everyone that it is absolutely possible to be the best You that you have ever been at any age.
Discovering the living foods lifestyle has been the biggest blessing I can possibly imagine. The worlds it has opened up to me are so expansive. I have seen so many blessings in my life, starting with the physical–a tumor disappearing, no colds or flu for over a year, greater strength and endurance, much less joint pain, much lovelier skin & hair, more muscle & less bodyfat, etc, etc.
Then there is the spiritual and mental component. I feel more at peace, less stressed, more in tune with the earth and all its living creatures. I am able to love more fully and completely, and to give more of myself to others, as I have so much more energy that I have lots to give to others. This is all totally subjective. I can’t quantify it or prove it to you in some scientific manner, but I just know that I have never felt happier and more alive.

Hi Christy-
Great “hot seat” session w/ Kevin last night. I agree with his assessment of your site & love the front-page photo, too! I just added your site to our All Raw Directory (www.AllRawDirectory.com). Feel free to add any other sites that you have or know of in the living foods world. We’re attempting to collect and categorize them all!

ps I’ve also just turned 40 (on the 11th), and am now, thanks to raw, in the best shape I’ve been in since college.
Also, if you need any outside contributions for your recipe book, let us know. My wife’s always coming up with amazing raw creations. We put out a free recipe eBook on our site — via, you guessed it, a pop-over ad. That one’s at http://www.PureJeevan.com and als http://www.PureJeevan.com/blog
Hi Christy,
Thank you for your blog. My wife and I also are on a journey toward (optimal) health and happiness and people like you are quite inspiring to us. So thanks for sharing your journey!
I have a question I have been wanting to ask now for some time but I couldn’t find how to contact you. So I hope you don’t mind asking you this way.
I’m a fitnesstrainer (and lifestyle coach) and up untill last year have been into Weston A. Price, metabolic typing and traditional diets. However I ‘evolved’ into raw foods and it seems that when you eat that way, rules that I knew now have changed. One thing that I’m really wondering about is the amount of calories. I know for example that Tim van Orden has a very low calorie intake but is thriving like never before. What about you? Do you count calories and if so, what are you aiming for?
I hope you are willing to share your thoughts on this.
Thank you in advance!
